I recently stumbled on a hidden gem I think you’ll love. Tanya & Yana, two Ukrainian nail technicians, are redefining the mani/pedi experience in Salem. Here’s what makes LET ME SEE THEM NAILS stand out:

  • Personal Touch: Forget the usual 30-minute in-and-out. They get to know you—and your nails—so every service is custom-tailored.

  • Impeccable Sterilization: All tools are autoclaved and individually packaged, so you can relax and enjoy a worry-free visit.

  • Parallel Duo Service: Busy schedule? Get a mani and pedi simultaneously in a cozy recliner, with Netflix on and a hot drink (or champagne for special occasions!).

  • High-End Vibe: Guests rave about the premium cuticle work, gorgeous designs, and the spa element that transforms a simple nail appointment into a little slice of luxury.

If you’re craving a nail salon that feels special every single time, I can’t recommend LET ME SEE THEM NAILS enough. Book an appointment and treat yourself to the salon experience Salem’s been buzzing about!

Engelberg Antiks to Celebrate 40 Years in Downtown Salem with April 1 Event

Engelberg Antiks, Salem’s largest antique mall, is celebrating its 40th anniversary on Tuesday, April 1, with a day of discounts, games, and giveaways. Owned by John and Nancy Forrest since 2022, the 11,000-square-foot mall on Liberty Street S.E. hosts over 50 vendors and is a longtime downtown fixture. The celebration will include treats, a prize wheel at the popular Pokémon booth, and a live broadcast from KLSM radio. The Forrests, who became owners after a life-altering injury changed their path, say they’re honored to carry on the legacy of the longtime community shop. (Salem Reporter)

Oregon Senate Advances Bill to Sync Clock Changes with Washington and California

The Oregon Senate passed SB 1038, a bill that would tie the state’s time-change policy to California and Washington, aiming to permanently end the twice-yearly switch between daylight saving and standard time. While the bill doesn’t yet lock Oregon into a specific time system, it allows the state to follow its neighbors if they adopt either year-round daylight saving or standard time within the next decade. Supporters hope the move boosts the chance of ending clock changes, though the final decision depends on other states and, for daylight saving time, Congressional approval. The bill now heads to the House for consideration. (Oregon Public Broadcast)
