What’s Happening Salem

Make Music Salem 2024 is here!

Hello, Salem! Today's the big day - Make Music Salem is here! If you're still figuring out your plans, here's what you need to know:

• The festival runs from 10 AM to 10 PM all across Salem

• Over 150 bands at 50+ locations - music everywhere you turn!

• All performances are FREE

• Genres for every taste: rock, pop, classical, folk, and more

• Key venues: Riverfront Park, Willamette Heritage Center, Taproot Lounge & Cafe

• Don't miss: Wild Ire (7 PM downtown)

• Quirky highlight: The Unipiper with flaming bagpipes on a unicycle (various times)

• Interactive fun: Join bucket drumming at noon, ukulele jam at 2 PM (both at Riverfront)

• "Found Sound Alley" behind Main Street - make music with everyday objects all day

• Food trucks and local eateries will be open - grab a bite between performances

• Bring: Water, sunscreen, and comfy shoes - you'll be on your feet a lot!
